Located in Arlington, Animal Health Care Center was founded in 1980. Animal Health Care Center is a full-service vet hospital, including pet boarding, committed to providing the highest standard of veterinary care for pets. We provide compassionate, friendly, informative, and supportive services for you and your pet, while maintaining a superior working environment for our employees.
Animal Health Care Center offers Arlington a veterinary hospital that handles emergency, medical, surgical, and dental veterinary care. With an in-house pharmacy and lab and access to specialists, our facility offers a one stop service for your pet's health and medical care. Our well trained staff not only treats dogs and cats but also treats a wide variety of other pets including birds, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, miniature pigs and occasionally other exotic pets.
Dr. Rachal, Dr. Riley and their staff believe that preventative health care is the key for a long healthy life for your pets. Standard of care protocols for immunizations, parasite prevention, dentistry, neutering, spaying, nutrition, routine blood work, and other diagnostic means are utilized to insure that the health of your pet is maximized. Recommendations based on the age and life style of each pet are tailored to your pet and your desires.
Although we believe that a standard protocol for immunizations is an important part of protecting your pet from life threatening diseases, we believe immunizations should be used judiciously for each pet. For those clients who like to minimize immunization vaccinations, we suggest blood titer checks (if available) to insure that the pet is adequately protected before we recommend not vaccinating.
In addition to traditional medicine and surgery, Dr. Rachal also practices and uses chiropractic, herbal medicine, and nutritional supplementation. These are sometimes used alone or combined and blended with traditional medicine and surgery in an effort to achieve the best health outcome for your pet. We also work closely with several referral specialty practices at times when specialty skills are needed.
Did you know that we offer low-cost vaccinations every day? We also have an online pharmacy so that you can receive guaranteed, quality medications for your pet directly to your front door.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I have been going to this clinic since 1998 and I could not be more pleased with Dr Rachal and Dr Riley. Between my personal and foster dogs, this clinic has cared for 100's of my dogs over the years and I could not be more grateful for my experience with them. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for excellent and compassionate care for their 4-legged family members.
